Rotterdam – If you reside in Rotterdam, the municipality has organized a daily collection service until February 6. Simply set your Christmas tree on the street next to your community’s trash can or where you typically store your own trash cans for collection.
The municipality will next collect the trees, which will be transformed into wood chips. Be certain to remove all ornaments before placing the tree on the street! Additionally, a few of tree collecting locations will remain open throughout the month of January. If you bring your Christmas tree to one of these sites, you will earn cash (just 50 cents, but it’s better than nothing!).
Consult the municipal website to locate the nearest drop-off location.
